Ian R. Phillips
Ian Phillips joined the firm in 2018 and devotes the majority of his practice to private equity and securities transactions as well as insurance defense. He specializes in the representation of multiemployer plans and national insurance providers.
Prior to joining Novara Tesija & Catenacci PLLC, Mr. Phillips was employed in the financial services arena as a fully registered compliance officer with a focus on client protection and regulatory affairs. After passing the MI Bar, he took his direct knowledge of the financial sector and applied it to the practice of law. Mr. Phillips has extensive experience in the review, negotiation and drafting of numerous types of investment contracts and market transactions.
Mr. Phillips earned his Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University in 2003 and his Juris Doctorate from Wayne State Law School in 2007.
Mr. Phillips is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association. Additionally, Mr. Phillips holds the Series 7, 66 and 24 securities licenses as well as multiple Michigan insurance producer licenses.
